1. The petitioners seek issuance of direction to the official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5 who are none else but the daughter-in-law and son of the petitioners.

2. Learned counsel submits that the petitioners have disinherited their son and daughter-in-law from movable and immovable property and on account of which they have been harassing and humiliating the petitioners and had been issuing threats to cause harm to them. It has been submitted that although the petitioners had submitted representation dated 21.3.2024 (Annexure P-1) in this regard to Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa but to no avail. 3. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Mansa, to get the representation dated 21.3.2024 (Annexure P-1) examined qua the alleged threat perception of the petitioners. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps as warranted under law be taken thereupon.

4. A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 21.3.2024 (Annexure P-1) be sent to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Mansa, for necessary compliance.
