(Oral) The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus for directing the respondents to expedite the enquiry proceedings initiated in terms of the charge-sheet dated 25.04.2022 (Annexure P-1), as pendency of the enquiry proceedings affected the right of the petitioner for further promotion to the post of Junior Engineer.

On receipt of advance notice of writ petition, Mr. Gurnoor Singh Sethi, Advocate, has put in appearance on behalf of the respondents and produced a copy of the letter dated 24.04.2024, issued by Deputy Chief Engineer to the petitioner, whereby copy of the enquiry report has been forwarded to the petitioner, seeking his representation.

In this view of the matter, the instant petition is disposed of having become infructuous.
