The petitioner seeks issuance of a direction for ordering independent probe in FIR No.75 dated 22.5.2020 under Sections 22/29 NDPS Act, Police Station City Jalalabad, District Fazilka preferably by CBI or by Crime Branch Chandigarh and also for initiating appropriate action against the erring police officials who according to the petitioner have falsely implicated the petitioner.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court does not find any ground for transferring the investigation to CBI or to any other agency. However, respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka is directed to ensure that the matter is got investigated fairly and that scientific investigation is also got conducted into the matter and the compact disc (Annexure P-4) pertaining to CCTV footage allegedly of the place of occurrence is also looked into during the course of investigation. 3.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
