Sudhir Kumar v. State Of Punjab And ORS
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-3762 of 2018 Date of Decision: 01.08.2018 Sudhir Kumar ....Petitioner
Versus
State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: - Mr. Piyush Setia, Advocate, for Mr. R.K. Girdhar, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Davinder Bir Singh, DAG, Punjab.
Mr. K.B.S. Mann, Advocate, for respondent No.5. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for issuance of direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the purpose would be achieved if respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, is directed to decide representation dated 21.11.2017 (Annexure P15) moved by the petitioner, in a time-bound manner. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2017 (Annexure P-15) after hearing the petitioner by passing a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
