Mr. Rahul Bhargava, Advocate, for the petitioner. **** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Petitioner is seeking protection of life and liberty at the instance of accused persons (private respondents) in FIR No.47 dated 21.09.2016, under Sections 498-A, 494 and 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Women District, Amritsar City and further to conduct the fair investigation as she is being pressurized by the police authorities to compromise the matter with the accused persons. In this regard, the petitioner has made a representation dated 11.10.2016 (Annexure P-3) to the Commissioner of police, District Amritsar but till no action has been taken against them.

In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar (respondent No.2), to look into the representation dated 11.10.2016, filed by the petitioner and conduct fair investigation, in accordance with law.
