Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.203 dated 17.07.2013 under Sections 419, 420 and 406 IPC registered at Police Station Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. Notice of motion was issued and learned State counsel appeared and contested the petition.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion on 18.02.2015, learned counsel for the petitioner contended that he would not press this petition for quashing of the FIR in question but the fact of the matter is that the case was registered more than one and half years ago and no action has been taken. CRM No.M-36770 of 2014 -2police to present final report within any reasonable time. Today, at the time of arguments, it is brought to the notice of this Court that challan has already been presented in the Court and after framing of the charge, trial is going on. Even three witnesses have also been examined.

In view of the above facts, the prayer made on 18.02.2015 regarding issuance of direction to the police to present final report within reasonable time has become infructuous and no further action is required in the present case.

Therefore, the present petition stands disposed of accordingly.
