*** LISA GILL, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 35 dated 05.06.2016 registered under Sections 498A/406/323/324/506/120-B IPC at Police Station Ahmedgarh District Sangrur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the offence punishable under Section 307 IPC has been deleted. The same is reflected in order dated 27.09.2016 passed by the learned Sessions' Judge Sangrur (Annexure P-7).

It is submitted that the petitioner is the father-in-law of the complainant. He has been falsely implicated in this case and has nothing to do with the dispute between his son and the complainant i.e. his daughterin-law. Further more he has joined investigation pursuant to the order dated 21.10.2016 passed by this Court. Therefore, this petition be allowed. CRM-M-37603-2016 -2Pal, Police Station City Ahmedgarh, District Sangrur affirms that the petitioner has joined investigation and his custodial interrogation is not required in this case.

There are no allegations on behalf of the State that the petitioner is likely to abscond or that he is likely to dissuade the witnesses from deposing true facts in the Court, if released on bail. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances noted above but without expressing any opinion on the merits of case, it is considered just and expedient to allow this petition. Consequently, order dated 21.10.2016 is made absolute.
