The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent-Bank to consider his legal notice dated 14.11.2024 and immediately release his FDR bearing No. FCNR/A/97 137851 dated 31.05.2005 which matured on 01.06.2006. 2.

The petitioner on the previous dates presented a picture that he opened a Fixed Deposit Receipt dated 31.05.2005 with respondent which matured on 01.06.2006 but was never liquidated and paid to him. The maturity amount was never received by him.

The respondent-Bank from time to time was asked to file affidavits. As per additional submissions dated 05.03.2026 filed by respondent-Bank of Baroda, the maturity amount of aforesaid FDR was USD 1113.51. The said amount was required to be converted into Indian PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2026.04.24 03:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.9409-2025(O&M) -2Rupee. Accordingly, aforesaid amount was converted into Indian Rupee and credited in the account of the petitioner. The transferred amount was Rs.49,841/-. The amount was firstly transferred to sundry account on 31.10.2006. It was further transferred to foreign exchange transaction account and thereafter transferred to petitioner's saving account No.01090100002992.

From the perusal of record and arguments of both sides, it is evident that petitioner has already received payment still approached this Court. He has attempted to misuse process of law. His act is deplorable and deserves to be condemned.

In the backdrop, the petition stands dismissed. 6.
