Learned counsel for the petitioner confines the relief in this petition only for protection to life and liberty of the petitioner. Regarding the other relief seeking registration of FIR, he summits that petitioner will avail other legal remedy available to him under the law including filing of complaint etc.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, U.T. Chandigarh to look into submission of learned counsel for the petitioner regarding threat to life and liberty of petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order in his office.

However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against the petitioner.
