(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 439 (2) Cr.P.C. is for cancellation of bail of respondent No. 2-Karanjit Singh granted by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Jalandhar vide order dated 23.11.2012 (Annexure P-2) in FIR No. 72 dated 30.04.2012 registered under Sections 307/324/323/341/148/149 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Adampur, District Jalandhar. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned State counsel,learned counsel for respondent No. 2 and have carefully gone through the record with their able assistance. On instructions from ASI Sukhdev Raj, learned State counsel submits that charge in the instant case was framed on 11.07.2015 though RISHU KATARIA 2015.07.21 16:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-40591-2012 (O&M) -2the challan was presented on 16.08.2012. Taking serious view of the aforesaid delay, status report was called from the trial Court on 15.05.2015.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant petition may be disposed of with certain directions to the trial Court. In view of the above, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to expedite the disposal of trial. The Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), Jalandhar is also directed that as and when witnesses file representation before him seeking protection to their life and liberty, the needful be done at the earliest especially when they have to appear in the Court for evidence.
