Ms. Samina Dhir, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. *** This petition for regular bail has been filed by petitioner Kuldeep Singh @ Manak, an accused in F.I.R. No. 06 dated 10.01.2017 under Section 15 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Sadar, Bathinda.
The brief facts of the case are that on 10.1.2017, petitioner Kuldeep Singh @ Manak along with his co-accused Mandeep Singh @ Biti was found in possession of 54 Kgs of Poppy Husk. The recovery involved amount to commercial quantity, as such bar of Section 37 of NDPS Act, 1985 comes into play. Further more, the petitioner is stated to be involved in three cases under IPC and one more case under NDPS Act. Therefore, no ground is made out for grant of regular bail.
