Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.155 dated 11.10.2015 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at Police Station Sadar, District Hoshiarpur. It is not disputed that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties during the pendency of this petition. This position is reflected in order dated 23.12.2015 passed by this Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the settlement has been acted upon. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Jagir Singh, affirms the factum of settlement between the parties and submits that the petitioner is not required for custodial interrogation. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, but without commenting upon or expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed. Consequently, order dated 26.10.2015 is made absolute.
