(ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking writ in the nature of mandamus in form of direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 9th of September, 2019 whereby the petitioner has raised claim for compassionate appointment.

At the outset, Mr. Sehajbir Singh, Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that in terms of the innocuous prayer made in the writ petition, the respondents are ready to decide the claim raised by the petitioner vide Annexure P-12 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified coy of this order.

Resultantly, the present writ petition is disposed off with the direction to the respondents to decide the representation filed by the petitioner, Annexure P-12 within four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law. 5.

In case, the petitioner is found to be entitled for the relief claimed, the same be released within a period of four weeks thereafter. However, in case the respondents opine that the claim of the petitioner merits rejection, the same shall be adjudicated by passing a speaking order after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner within time period as stipulated hereinabove.
