**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (Oral) Due to the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19, the instant case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. The instant contempt petition has been filed under Sections 10 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for taking action against the respondents on account of their willful disobedience of the directions issued by this Court vide orders dated 12th July, 2019 (Annexure P-1) in CWP No. 18685 of 2019, titled as, "Vijay Kumar Verma and others Vs. State of Haryana and another", whereby, this Court had directed to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 10.12.2018 (Annexure P-2), filed by the petitioners, and also grant interest, if any, by passing a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order.

Upon notice of motion having been issued to the State of Punjab on 14.07.2020, learned State counsel while accepting notice on behalf of the respondents had prayed for time to seek necessary instructions from the Department concerned and apprise the Court about the status of the representation JAWALA RAM 2020.07.28 12:52 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Mr. Deepak Balyan, Addl. AG, Haryana, has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent Department. He on instructions from the Department concerned has apprised this Court that a decision has since been taken on the representation and legal notice, made by the petitioners to the respondent Department and the same would be communicated to the petitioners within a period of three days from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in the wake of the aforementioned statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent Department in Court today, he would not press the instant contempt petition and the same may be disposed off as such.

The instant contempt petition stands disposed off as having been not pressed. Needless to say, the respondents shall be bound by the statement given by the learned counsel for the respondent Department in Court today. It is made clear that in case there is violation of the statement made by the respondents and the same is brought to the notice of this Court, a strict view would be taken by this Court against the respondents.
