Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.133 dated 10.06.2020 under Section 61 of The Punjab Excise Act, 1914 registered at Police Station City-I Abohar, District Fazilka.

Counsel for the petitioner points out that the petitioner is involved in another FIR bearing No.57 dated 22.03.2020 under Sections 61/1/14 of Excise Act, 1914 in which he has been granted the concession of anticipatory bail by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fazilka, vide order dated 06.07.2020.

CRM-M-18707 of 2020 {2} Counsel for the State upon instructions from ASI Bhagwan Singh submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the above facts, but without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 15.07.2020 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
