Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and promote the petitioner to the post of Superintendent and to grant special increment for 4/9/14 years of service along with all the consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the persons junior to the petitioner have already been promoted and granted special increment on completion of 4/9/14 years of service. He further submits that for claiming the said relief, the petitioner has already submitted a detailed representation dated 30.01.2023 (Annexure P-4), which may be directed to be considered in a time bound manner. 3.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed at the time of arguments, facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the controversy, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority - respondent No.3 to expeditiously decide representation dated 30.01.2023 (Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioner by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from receipt of certified copy of this order.
