ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) The petitioners have again approached this Court, by filing the second petition, seeking protection of their life and liberty on the premise that petitioner No.1 has performed marriage with petitioner No.2 against the wishes of her parents and other family members and the petitioners are apprehending threat to their life and liberty at their instance.

The earlier petition i.e. CRM-M No.37241 of 2018 was dismissed as withdrawn on 28.08.2018 with liberty to the petitioners to file afresh petition with better particulars. Notice of motion.

Mr. Joginder Pal Ratra, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent - State.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that a representation dated 23.08.2018 was made to the Senior Superintendent MOHD YAKUB 2018.08.30 12:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M No.37896 of 2018 of Police, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali (Annexure P6), seeking necessary protection but no action has been taken so far in the matter. Heard.

Without examining the question of validity or otherwise of marriage of the petitioners, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali to look into grievance of the petitioners expressed in the representation (Annexure P6) and take appropriate action, if any, warranted in the circumstances.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali - respondent No.2 is further directed to convene a meeting between the petitioners and the parents of petitioner No.1, if so required. It is further directed that petitioner No.1 will submit the complete address of her parents along with the mobile phone numbers to enable respondent No.2, to comply with the directions.
