The limited question for which the accused has come up before this Court is that his bail bonds and surety bonds were cancelled vide order dated 25.02.2026 passed by the Court of Addl. Sessions Judge-JSC-VIII, Jalandhar. 2.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the reason for cancellation of bail bonds was his non-appearance before the Court on 25.02.2026, as he was confined in District Jail, Bathinda in some other case. Counsel refers to Annexures P-2 and P-3 as per which petitioner Dalvir Singh @ Dalbeer Singh was sent to civil imprisonment on 28.01.2026 and was released on 27.02.2026. The impugned order is dated 25.02.2026 and at that time the petitioner was in custody till 27.02.2026. 3.

Given this aspect, there is no need to issue notice. 4.

Since the absence of the petitioner was not intentional, as such, the impugned order dated 25.02.2026 is set aside subject to the condition that petitioner would appear before the Appellate Court, Jalandhar on or before 16.04.2026 and furnish fresh bail bond to the satisfaction of concerned Court. 4.

Till that time, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner. It is clarified that if the petitioner fails to appear on 16.04.2026, then the present order shall stand recalled automatically resorting to Section 403 of BNSS, 2023. 5.
