The petitioner is alleged to have connived with 10/12 other coaccused, including members of his family, and obstructed the police not only from performing their duties but also snatched gold chain of SI Sandeep Singh, as per the allegations of complainant SI Umed Singh while they were investigating the matter on the basis of a secret information that the petitioner was kingpin of group of accused, who indulged in extortions. The petitioner has been in custody since 3.9.2016. Learned State counsel has opposed the petition contending that the petitioner is involved in a large number of cases. Counsel for the petitioner has made available copies of the judgments passed by the courts, acquitting him in most of the cases.

Without expression of any opinion on merits, taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is not required for any purpose; recoveries having already been made, he can be granted the concession of bail.

The petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/ surety bonds to the satisfaction of CJM, Hisar, subject to the condition that the petitioner will not indulge in the similar activity, of which he is accused of, during pendency of the trial.
