The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.196 dated 21.09.2022 registered at Police Station Sadar Dhuri, District Sangrur, under Sections 420 & 406 IPC and all subsequent proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of a compromise stated to have been effected between the parties. 2.

The allegations, in nutshell, are that the accused/petitioners had defrauded the complainant/respondent No.2 of an amount of Rs.7.30 lakhs.

However, the matter is stated to have been compromised for a total amount of Rs.5.50 lakhs out of which Rs.3 lakhs is already stated to have been paid by the petitioners to the complainant/respondent No.2. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the balance amount out of agreed/compromised amount i.e. Rs.2.50 lakhs has been brought today by Manpreet Kaur - petitioner No.1 and that she is willing to hand-over the said amount to the complainant in Court itself. 5.

Complainant/respondent No.2 - Chamkaur Singh is also present in Court and has been identified by Mr.

Jai Bhagwan, Advocate.

Complainant/respondent No.2 upon being asked by this Court has endorsed the factum of compromise and has stated that as per the compromise, out of the total agreed amount of Rs.5.50 lakhs, he had already received an amount of Rs.3 lakhs. Complainant/respondent No.2, upon receipt of Rs.2.50 lakhs handed-over by petitioner No.1Manpreet Kaur, has accepted the same and has stated that he has no objection in case the FIR in question is quashed. 6.

In view of the aforesaid position and bearing in mind the law laid down by Full Bench of this Court in 2007(3) RCR (Crl.) 1052 Kulwinder Singh and others Vs.
