The limited prayer made in the present writ petition is for issuance of a direction to respondent No.3-Commissioner concerned, under the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961, to decide the application dated 27.08.2025 filed by the petitioner in the appeal being Appeal No.16/2022.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is willing to withdraw his appeal being Appeal No.16/2022 as the status quo, which has been granted, is infact adversely affecting the petitioner as the petitioner has not been able to access/lift the installed material, infrastructure and records from the school.

Ms. Arundhati Kulshreshtha, AAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and states that she has no objection if a direction is AMAN JAIN 2026.03.31 14:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CWP-9459-2026 (O&M) -2given that respondent No.3-Commissioner concerned would decide the application moved by the petitioner in a time bound manner. 5.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3-Commissioner concerned, under the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961, to decide the application dated 27.08.2025 filed by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date the parties appear before respondent No.3-Commissioner concerned in accordance with law. The parties to appear before respondent No.3Commissioner concerned on 10.04.2026. 6.
