HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for appointing a Warrant Officer to visit the premises of respondents No.4 to 11 and other places pointed out by the petitioner to get released the detenue namely Tanish Sharma (minor brother of the petitioner), from the illegal confinement of the private respondents. In compliance of the order dated 21.04.2025, passed by this Court, status report by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Nabha, District Patiala, has been filed in the Court today, which is taken on record.

Learned State counsel refers to the statement of detenue, in question attached with the status report as Annexure R-1 and submits that he is not in the illegal confinement rather he is living with his MOHD YAKUB 2025.05.12 17:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CRWP-3263-2025 maternal grandmother's sister, Santosh Sharma, in Bhadson with his own sweet will and her family is taking good care of him and they have never harassed and troubled him. The statement was further signed by the maternal uncle of the alleged detenue.

In view of the status report filed by respondent - State, no further directions are required to be passed. Disposed of accordingly.
