Ravinder Kumar v. State Of Haryana

The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No.04, dated 14.6.2021, Police Station SVB, District Gurugram, under Sections 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC and Sections 13(2), 13(1)(c) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The petitioner who had been working in Haryana Roadways is alleged to be a part of the committee which had allegedly committed irregularities and embezzlements to the tune of Rs.9,62,454/-, pertaining to purchase of certain goods/articles. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is aged about 65 years and that the instant FIR has been lodged belatedly inasmuch as the occurrence is alleged to have taken place in the year 2008. Learned counsel further submits that three other identically situated officials of the department namely Babu Lal, Mohinder Singh and Sher Singh Yadav have already been granted anticipatory bail by this Court vide order dated 13.04.2023 SONIA GUGNANI 2023.08.17 16:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Arresting/Investigating Officer and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C."
