HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is not pressing his claim for the grant of bail but he prays that the proceedings before the Magistrate be expedited so that, the trial is concluded expeditiously as petitioner is suffering prejudice due to the pendency of the proceedings before the Magistrate as the charges are yet to be framed and 12 adjournments have already been granted.

As far as the grievance raised by the petitioner regarding the delay is concerned, the same is due to the pandemic of Covid-19. Not only the petitioner but a large number of people are suffering due to the current situation, the Courts below are trying to do whatever best is possible in this situation.
