Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.55 dated 18.08.2017 under Sections 324, 323, 506 and 34 IPC (Sections 326 and 452 IPC added later on), registered at Police Station Mehta, District Amritsar. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that present petitioner is named in the FIR. He was stated to be armed with deadly weapon (datar) and grievous injury is attributed to him on the left leg of the complainant. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that it is a case of version and crossversion. The petitioner has not received any injury. He is the main accused. Datar is yet to be recovered from him.

CRM No.M-37242 of 2017 -2case, without discussing the facts in minute detail and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I find that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
