**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) On oral request of the parties, hearing in the case is preponed from 08.08.2018 to today itself.

This is a petition that has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of Kalandra under Section 182 Cr.P.C. bearing No. CHI2032/2016 (Annexure P-6) along with subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Sant Ram, the complainant/respondent No.2 is present in Court today. His self attested Aadhaar card's copy is taken on the record. An affidavit has been filed by him stating that all disputes between him, his daughter Navdeep @ Rosy with Gagandeep Singh, the petitioner No.1 herein arose out of a matrimonial dispute, which resulted in registration of an FIR No. 5 dated 16.01.2013 under Sections 406, 498-A & 506 IPC, at Police Station Women Cell Patiala and it is during the proceedings in the Satyawan 2018.07.26 17:34 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CRM-M-38144-2016 -2High Court that the matter has been settled amicably, wherein it has been decided that all disputes will be settled and parties will get divorce under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act. Gagandeep Singh would pay a sum of `5,00,000/- as full and final settlement to his daughter and also they will jointly file a petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act. In view of the said settlement that has been arrived at between the parties, the complainant Sant Ram has no objection in case the aforesaid Criminal Miscellaneous No. 38144 of 2016 is allowed and the Kalandra under Section 182 Cr.P.C. bearing No. CHI-2032/2016 (Annexure P-6) is quashed.

I have heard the parties and have also perused the settlement / agreement that has been entered into between the parties, as well as the affidavit which is taken on the record as Mark "A". In view of the settlement and the fact that the terms and conditions of the settlement/ agreement have been complied with insofar as a judicial complaint filed by the petitioner- Gagandeep Singh against Sant Ram has been withdrawn.

In view of the above, this petition is allowed and the Kalandra under Section 182 Cr.P.C. bearing No. CHI-2032/2016 (Annexure P-6) and the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom qua the petitioners are quashed.
