Mr. Ladjpt Sharma, Advocate for respondent No.2. The instant petition is for quashing of FIR No.34 dated 28.02.2010 registered under Sections 307, 498A, 406, 323, 506 and 34 IPC at Police Station Sadar Malout, District Sri Muktsar Sahib and the consequent proceedings arising out of the same, on the basis of written compromise arrived at between the parties. Report has been received from learned JMIC, Malout after statements of the parties were recorded regarding the compromise. Learned JMIC has reported that the compromise is voluntary and without any pressure or coercion. Learned JMIC has also sent copy of the statements of the parties. Learned counsel for the State on instructions submits that petitioners are the only accused and respondent no.2 is the only RAJ KUMAR 2016.02.10 17:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
aggrieved person in this FIR. He further states that no challan was filed in this case.
No useful purpose would be served to keep the FIR pending.
In view of the statements and report of the trial Court and the principles laid down by the Full Bench judgment of this Court in
