The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.31 dated 24.04.2023, under Section 376 IPC, 1860, registered at Police Station Chabbewal, District Hoshiarpur and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom. 2.

Learned State counsel has filed status report dated 30.07.2024, by way of affidavit of Sh. Shivdarshan Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Detective), District Hoshiarpur, on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab, which is taken on record.

Learned State counsel has informed that the trial is almost complete and the case is fixed for today for defence evidence. 4.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition at this stage.

The present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. 6.
