(ORAL) The present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioner for a direction to the respondents to submit final report in FIR No.28 dated 17.5.2006, under Sections 395, 397, 365 and 506 IPC and under Section 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station, Ramdas, Police Distt. Majitha (now Police District, Amritsar Rural), Distt. Amritsar.

On 25.4.2019, while issuing notice of motion, a direction was issued to submit status report in above said FIR. RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2019.05.13 10:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-18373-2019 (O&M) Today, status report by way of affidavit of Mr.Vikram Jeet Duggal, SSP, Amritsar, Rural, dated 9.5.2019, on behalf of the respondents, has been filed in the Court. A perusal of para 4 of the status report reveals that after investigating the matter, cancellation report was prepared on 4.4.2007 and the same has been submitted in the Court of competent jurisdiction on 4.5.2019.

In view of above, no further directions are required to be issued in the present case.

The petition is disposed off accordingly.

However, taking into consideration the fact that the respondents have consumed almost 12 years in submitting the cancellation report before the Court of competent jurisdiction, the erring police official(s) is/are burdened with costs of Rs.10,000/-. The costs be deposited with the Head Master of Govt. High School, village Mohan Bhandariana, Tehsil Ajnala, District Amritsar and same will be utilised for the purchase of text books and stationery material for the deserving students of the school.
