Petitioner, an accused in case FIR No.239 dated 25.10.2019 registered against him and 3 others (Sukhwinder Singh, Kulwinder Kaur and Sukhvir Singh, who were declared 'Proclaimed Offender'), for commission of offence punishable u/s 323, 506, 120-B, 34 IPC (Section 307 IPC added later on) at P.S. Shahkot, District Jalandhar Rural, has filed the present petition praying therein to issue appropriate directions to learned trial Court for expeditious disposal of the aforesaid case. 2.
Heard. Documents on record perused.

Copies of interim orders passed by the learned trial Court from 19.07.2022 to 01.12.2025 have been placed on record, which go to show that during the period referred above, only 2 prosecution witnesses have been examined. Considering the fact that the FIR pertains to the year 2019, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to make sincere efforts to conclude the trial expeditiously preferably, within a period of 6 months from today, in accordance with law.
