The present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing of FIR No.136 dated 27.06.2017, registered under Sections 353 and 186 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, (for short, 'IPC'), at Police Station Civil Lines Patiala, District Patiala, and all other consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise arrived at between the parties.

Vide order dated 16.03.2023, the parties were directed to appear before the learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate, for getting their statements recorded; as to the genuineness of the compromise. 2023:PHHC:124712 CRM-M-29611-2019 (O&M) -2report of the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Patiala, dated 03.04.2023, has been received, wherein, it has been submitted that on 29.03.2023, both the parties appeared before the Trial Court and have settled their dispute amicably without any undue influence, coercion or pressure but subsequently, on 31.03.2023, respondent No.2/complainant again appeared before the Trial Court and has specifically stated that his earlier statement may be treated as nil and he does not want to stand by the compromise. 3.

In view of the report of the Trial Court and the fact that there is no compromise in the matter, this Court does not find any ground to continue with the present petition any further and the same is dismissed.
