CORAM:
HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE RAVI SHANKER JHA, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN PALLI, JUDGE Present :
Mr. Sunil Chadha, Senior Advocate with Mr. Akshay Chadha, Advocate, Mr. Tara Dutt, Advocate and Mr. Ankit Bishnoi, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Arjun Sheoran, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. **** The petitioner has filed this petition assailing the order dated 13.04.2023 (Annexure P-11) passed by the respondent No.2 whereby the representation dated 27.03.2023 (Annexure P-8) filed by the petitioner has been rejected. It is, however, observed that four days after passing of the impugned order, a Civil Writ Petition No. 7586 of 2023 filed by the petitioner was also disposed of by this Court on 17.04.2023 by taking the statements of learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Deputy Advocate General appearing for the respondent-State of Punjab on record, to the effect that the respondent-authorities will consider and take a decision on the representations dated 27.03.2023 and 03.04.2023 (Annexure P-8 & P-9) filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks.
RAVINDER KUMAR 2023.04.27 16:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.
2023:PHHC:059030-DB
[2] In the circumstances, as this Court has already directed the respondent-authorities, on the basis of the statement made by learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab to decide the representation of the petitioner within a period of four weeks vide order dated 17.04.2023 passed in Civil Writ Petition No. 7586-2023, learned Deputy Advocate General appearing for the respondent-State of Punjab today also reiterates his statement made earlier to the effect that the respondentauthorities are in the process of considering and taking a decision on the representations already moved by the petitioner. In addition, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab submits that as the impugned order dated 13.04.2023 was passed prior to the order dated 17.04.2023 passed in Civil Writ Petition No. 7586 of 2023, therefore, the respondent-authorities would reconsider the representations of the petitioner without being influenced by the impugned order dated 13.04.2023.
In view of the statement made by learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab and taking the same on record, the petition stands disposed of.
