Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Rohit Bansal, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents and prays for ten days' time to file the compliance report. Considering the fact that the direction to consider the claim of the petitioner was passed on 13.11.2024, a period of more than 4 months has elapsed, thus, in case the compliance report is not filed in terms of the Court's order, on or before the next date, the Officer concerned to join the proceedings through video-conferencing.

Requisite copy of paper-book be supplied to the counsel opposite by learned counsel for the petitioner during the course of day.

Paragraphs 4 and 5 of the compliance affidavit read as under:- "4.

That it is respectfully submitted that the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, vide its Judgment dated 13.11.2024, had directed the Chief Secretaries of all the States/Union Territory to get the Judgment circulated to all the District Magistrates and Local Authorities intimating them about the directions issued by the Hon'ble Apex Court.

That in compliance thereof, the Judgment dated 13.11.2024 was circulated to all the District Magistrates, Department of Local Government, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats and Department of Housing and Urban Development vide Memo No.

GAD-MONTOC.

C/16/2024-MON1 dated 12.12.2024. A copy of Letter dated 12.12.2024 is annexed as Annexure R-1."
