(Oral) This is a petition for regular bail filed in case bearing FIR No.197 dated 13.07.2014, under section 304-B IPC, registered at Police Station Basti Jodhewal, District Ludhiana. Learned counsel for the petitioner has argued that the petitioner is the father-in-law and has now been in custody for 1 year and 4 months approximately and the case is nowhere near conclusion because another petition filed against the order of dismissal of an application under Section 319 Cr.P.C. is pending in this Court. Learned counsel for the complainant and learned Addl.AG have argued that in this case the daughter-in-law of the petitioner had committed suicide within six months of the marriage only because of the harassment she was being subjected to.

CRM-M-37565-2015(O&M) -2Be that as it may, keeping in view the period of custody and the fact that the trial is not likely to conclude in near future, I do not deem it appropriate to deny the concession of bail to the petitioner in view of the fact that he is the father-in-law. Let him be released on bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court. Petition stands disposed of.
