*** RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J. (ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to pay the financial assistance/honorarium allowance to the elected Sarpanch of various villages in Punjab for their term commencing from the year 2019 till date/the date of dissolution of Panchayats along with interest.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that for the redressal of grievance, the petitioner has already filed his representation dated 10.01.2024 (Annexure P-4) before respondent No.2 but no action has been taken on the same till date. Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Navneet Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. He submits that the representation filed by the petitioner would be decided expeditiously.
