RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. praying for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.85, dated 29.03.2022, under Section 498-A IPC, registered at Police Station City-1 Malerkotla, District Malerkotla.

Vide order dated 17.05.2022, while granting interim protection, the petitioner was directed to join investigation. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that pursuant to the order dated 17.05.2022, the petitioner has joined the investigation and as such his interim bail may be made absolute. He further submits that the parties had appeared before the Mediation Centre, however, the same remained unsuccessful.

However, counsel for respondent No.2/complainant has opposed the submissions made by counsel for the petitioner. MEENU 2022.12.16 17:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CRM-M-21234-2022 -2Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Kulwinder Singh endorsed that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is no more required for further interrogation.

In view of the above, interim order dated 17.05.2022 is made absolute subject to compliance of conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Petition stands allowed.
