Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect his life and liberty from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6.
Para 2 of the reply submitted by respondent No. 2 reads as under:- "That it is respectfully submitted that the Special Investigation Team comprising the following officers has been constituted by the Inspector General of Police, Border Range, Amritsar vide order No. 12809-13/PC, GURPREET SINGH 2015.09.09 14:46 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
Crl. Misc. No. M-37675 of 2014 -2dated 1.8.2015 to investigate case FIR No. 189 dated 29.9.2012 u/s 307, 506, 34, 120-B IPC, 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, PS Jhabal, District Tarn Taran.
1. Sh. Gurpreet Singh Toor, IPS, SSP Gurdaspur.
2. Sh. Pardeep Kumar Malik, PPS, SP/Investigation, Batala.
3. Sh. Gurwinder Singh, DSP, Shri Hargobindpur, Batala. and the same has been approved by the Director, Bureau of Investigation, Punjab, Chandigarh. As such the case file has been handed over to the Special Investigation Team."
Learned State counsel, on instructions from Chairman, Special Investigation Team, has submitted that the Special Investigation Team constituted by the Inspector General of Police vide order dated 1.8.2015 will conclude its investigation within three months from today.
In view of the submissions made by the learned State counsel, no ground for further interference by this Court, at this stage, is made out.
Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
