Sukhmandar Singh v. State Of Punjab And ORS
In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Criminal Misc. No. M-37667 of 2017 Date of Decision: 09.10.2017 Sukhmandar Singh ... Petitioner(s)
Versus
State of Punjab and Others ... Respondent(s) CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Shekher Dhawan.
Present:
Mr. Gurpal Singh Sandhu, Advocate for the petitioner(s).
Shekher Dhawan, J.
Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner seeking directions to conclude the investigation in case FIR No. 33 dated 17.3.2016, registered under Sections 420 & 120-B IPC at Police Station City Sri Muktsar Sahib.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that despite the fact of having registered FIR under Sections 420 & 120-B IPC way-back on 17.3.2016, by now, not even a single accused has been arrested; no effective investigation has been carried out nor any report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. has been filed before the learned Area Judicial Magistrate. Learned counsel for the petitioner further contended that petitioner has made a representation dated 2.6.2017 (Annexure P2) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, but the same remained unattended till now.
Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners and perusal of record, respondent No.2-Senior Deepak Kumar Bhardwaj 2017.10.09 15:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
Criminal Misc. No. M-37667 of 2017 Superintendent of Police, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, is directed to look into the representation dated 2.6.2017 (Annexure P2) and take required action, if any, as per law.
With the aforesaid observations made and directions issued, the present petition stands disposed of.
