Learned State filed verification report by way of affidavit of Vijay Pal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Head Quarter, Hisar, wherein it has been deposed that the factum of death of appellant/accused Veena has been verified and found to be correct. The said report is accompanied by a photocopy of death certificate of Ginni Devi as per which she expired on 24.12.2017. The affidavit is further to the effect that the Investigating Officer has visited the house of appellant-Veena MOHAN SINGH 2024.05.18 01:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRA-D-229-DB-2003 (O&M) - 2 - and her son namely Hemant had furnished his affidavit as well as of his brother Yogesh to the effect that Veena @ Ginni Devi had expired on 24.12.2017.

Learned State counsel has submitted that Veena was also known as Ginni Devi.

In view of the aforestated position, the proceedings qua appellant/accused Veena stands abated.
