As per report of the Registry, notice to respondents No.5, 14, 18, 32, 36, 55 and 57 could not be issued as learned counsel for the petitioners has not furnished their complete and correct addresses. Even today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. 3.

on the basis of notification dated 05.05.1975 (Annexure P-2) issued by the State of Punjab. However, the abovesaid notification was quashed by Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court in CWP No.15302 of 2005 titled Attar Singh Dhoor and others Vs. State of Punjab, decided on 25.07.2006. He further submits that now the issue has been decided by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in The State of Punjab and others Vs. Davinder Singh and others, Civil Appeal No.2317 of 2011 decided on 01.08.2024. The notification dated 05.05.1975 (Annexure P-2) issued by the State of Punjab has been upheld. He further submits that in the light of the fact that the abovesaid notification has been upheld, the present writ petition has rendered infructuous. 4.
In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous ( ) "
