After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he would be satisfied if a direction be issued to the trial Court to conclude the trial expeditiously. Learned State counsel submits that since the main witnesses have already been examined, the State shall make every effort to examine the remaining relevant witnesses within a time limit prescribed by this Court.

In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn, however, a direction is issued to the trial Court to conclude the trial expeditiously by fixing short dates. The State shall cause appearance of the remaining prosecution witnesses so summoned by the Court on the date(s) so fixed.
