***** ARCHANA PURI, J. (Oral) The petitioners have filed the present petition, for initiation of contempt proceedings, against the respondents, on account of wilful defiance of the interim order dated 29.08.2024, passed by the Coordinate Bench, in CWP-19002-2024.

It is submitted by the counsel that during the pendency of the aforesaid writ petition, vide the aforesaid order, copy whereof is Annexure P-1, it was observed that as of now, the petitioners are not being disengaged and the case was further fixed for filing of reply. However, counsel for the petitioners, while making reference to page No.52 of the paperbook, submits that the names of the petitioners have not been reflected in the list of research scholars or in the classes allocated. On query by this Court, it is stated that till date, no letter, with regard to dispensing with their services, has been served upon them. COCP-1399-2026 Notice of motion.

At this stage, Mr. A.S. Virk, Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He has brought to the notice of this Court that names of the petitioners have been included in the list of part-time teachers, for the semester session 2025-26. Copy of the letter, reflecting the names of the petitioners being engaged as part-time teachers, has been supplied by the counsel for the respondents in the Court today itself, which is taken on record.

In view of the requisite letter, which is taken on record, counsel for the petitioners submits that he does not want to pursue with the present petition and the same be dismissed as withdrawn. Ordered accordingly.
