(ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 54 dated 17.11.2016 under Sections 376(D), 506 IPC and Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 registered at Police Station Jhander, Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the allegations as set out in the FIR are patently false and now the matter has been compromised between them. It is also argued that as on date challan in the matter has not been presented.

Appearance has been caused by Mr. A.N. Walia, Advocate, on behalf of the complainant/respondent No.2 by filing power of attorney on her behalf, who admit to the fact that a compromise between the parties has been executed and he would not be averse in case the FIR against the petitioner is quashed.
I have heard learned counsel for the parties and in view of the fact that the challan has yet not been presented, the parties are directed to appear before the Investigating Officer and suffer statement to this effect, who would then act in accordance with law.
