(Oral) Present revision petition has been preferred against the judgment dated 12.07.2006 passed in criminal complaint No.131 dated 30.10.2000 by Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Samana in complaint titled as 'Punjab State Cooperative Supplies Marketing Federation Ltd. vs. M/s Shiva Rice Traders' under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act (for short 'the Act'). 2.

Vide said judgment, the petitioner had been convicted for commission of offence under Section 138 of the Act and had been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year and to pay fine of Rs.3,000/-. The criminal appeal bearing No.12-T dated 04.08.2006 against the aforesaid judgment was dismissed by Sessions Judge, Patiala vide judgment dated 30.03.2009, hence, the present revision petition. 3.

Since there had been no representation on behalf of the petitioner, notice was issued to the petitioner vide order dated 03.12.2025. 4.

As per office report, the petitioner is reported to have died. No one has chosen to appear on behalf of the petitioner to contest the present SONIA BURA 2025.12.19 10:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRR-1046-2009 petition. It seems that legal representatives of the petitioner are no more interested in pursuing the matter.

The present petition is, accordingly disposed of as having been abated on account of death of the petitioner-accused. 6.
