(The aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in virtual Court). **** RAVI SHANKER JHA, CHIEF JUSTICE ( Oral ) This petition has been filed by the petitioner being aggrieved by the non-constitution of a Trust Committee under the Punjab Advocates Welfare Fund Act, 2002, with a further prayer to issue directions to respondents No.2 to 17 to frame a scheme for financial assistance to Advocates during the pandemic.

Learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab, has placed before this Court the Punjab Advocates COVID19 Financial Assistance Scheme, 2021, dated 17.06.2021, framed by the Punjab Advocates Welfare Fund Trustee Committee. He has also informed this Court that the issue regarding financial assistance to Advocates has been taken up by the Supreme Court and is pending adjudication before it.
