This is a petition for quashing of FIR on the basis of compromise.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that the challan has not yet been presented. The petitioners appear to be on bail. Notice of motion to the Advocate General, Punjab. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Mr.Gazi Mohammad, DAG., Punjab, present in the Court. Copy given.

In view of the status and stage of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction that the complainant and the aggrieved/victim or any other affected party will appear before the Investigating Officer within a period of 15 days and get his/her or

CRM-M-37875-2015 (O&M) their statements recorded regarding the matter having been compromised voluntarily.

Taking into consideration said circumstances, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Investigating Officer to present cancellation/untraced report in accordance with law in case the matter is compromised. The complainant would furnish no objection before the Illaqua Magistrate to facilitate the acceptance of cancellation report.
