The present petition has been filed under Section 439 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 11 dated 15.03.2014 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 18, 29, 60 of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, by Narcotic Control Bureau Chandigarh Zonal Unit. Learned counsel for respondent submits that the prosecution has already completed its evidence. Statement of petitioner under Section 313 Cr.P.C. has been recorded and now the case is fixed for defence evidence and arguments.
As the prosecution has already concluded its case, no reason is made out to extend the benefit of regular bail to the petitioner at this stage. As such, the present petition is dismissed.
