NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J (Oral) Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482, Cr.P.C., is for the issuance of directions to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to protect lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 and 5. The petitioners contend that they being major, have solemnized their marriage in accordance with law. They further submit that respondent Nos. 4 and 5 are not accepting their marriage and adamant to separate them from each other by resorting to illegal means. They further submit that in view of the imminent danger to their lives and liberty, they have already moved a representation (Annexure P-5) PRASHANT KAPOOR 2016.02.10 17:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-3883-2016 before respondent No. 2/Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur.

Notice of motion was issued.

In response thereof, learned counsel for the State has appeared and on instructions from HC Ram Singh of Police Station, Balowal, District Hoshiarpur, submits that the statements of the parents of petitioner No. 1, Prabhjot Kaur, were recorded in which they stated that they have no objection to the marriage solemnized by the petitioners.

In view of above, but without going into the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2/ Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, to take action as warranted by law on the representation moved by the petitioners and in the meantime to issue necessary orders to ensure that no harm is caused to the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 and 5.
