**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No. 5 dated 05.1.2012 under Sections 304-B IPC registered at Police Station Ferozepur City, District Ferozepur.

Custody certificate by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent, Central Prison Faridkot has been filed through e-mail. Copy of the same is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the present case, challan was presented on 11.9.2019 and charges were framed on 14.11.2019. He further submits that two main witnesses i.e. Resham Kaur and Madan Lal i.e. parents of deceased have been examined and the petitioner has been in custody since 11.7.2019. On the other hand, learned State counsel opposed the petition. CRM-M No. 19538 of 2020 -2petitioner that she along with other co-accused used to harass deceased Balwinder Kaur @ Kamaldeep Kaur on account of demand of dowry and gave beatings to her. It has also been alleged that the petitioner and coaccused Varsha had given a tablet to the deceased and due to the reaction of the said tablet, the deceased was admitted in the hospital where she died. The petitioner was declared proclaimed offender on 15.9.2012 and was arrested on 11.7.2019. Moreover, co-accused Sunil Rana, who is the adopted son, has also been convicted for 10 years and his appeal is pending before this Court. The allegations against the petitioner are serious in nature.

No ground for grant of regular bail to the petitioner is made out. The petition is dismissed.
