This is a petition for quashing of FIR on the basis of compromise which was registered only in April 2015. The challan has not yet been presented.

This petition is disposed of with a direction that respondent No.2 and any other affected person would appear before the Investigating Officer within a period of one month and get the statements recorded regarding the matter having been compromised. After recording any such statement given voluntarily, it will be open

CRM-M-38035-2015 (O&M) to the Investigating Officer to present cancellation/untraced report. Respondent No.2 in such an eventuality may express no objection to the acceptance of cancellation/untraced report and the Magistrate shall accept the cancellation/untraced report. (M.M.S.
